Advancing Accessibility in Ontario

Published on November 06, 2020

The government has launched a new public education campaign to increase awareness about accessibility needs and responsibilities, and help organizations identify and remove barriers for people with disabilities.

Many organizations are not fully aware of their accessibility responsibilities, nor realize the benefits of being more receptive to the accessibility needs of Ontarians with disabilities.

We are committed to working with stakeholders, including broader public sector organizations, businesses and non-profit organizations to help make Ontario more accessible and inclusive by 2025.

The awareness campaign announced today is part of our government’s ongoing work to create a more inclusive and accessible province through the Advancing Accessibility in Ontario framework.
