Check Application Status for Ontario Small Business Support Grant

We recognize that small businesses have been impacted by public health measures. As of Thursday, February 18th, we have approved grants for more than 54,000 small businesses, with more than $770M dollars in payments made so far.

That’s why we launched the Ontario Small Business Support Grant to provide a minimum of $10,000 and up to $20,000 in support of eligible small businesses forced to close or significantly restrict services.

We encourage eligible businesses to continue applying for the Small Business Support Grant and additional supports including:

  • Our $1,000 Main Street Relief Grant for PPE
  • The $57M Digital Main Street program to help business go online & build up their digital presences
  • Property tax and energy rebates
  • And mental health supports for small business owners and their employees 

Eligible small business owners that are expected to experience a minimum 20 per cent decline in revenue may qualify for this grant to help navigate this challenging period, and can use the grant in whatever way makes the most sense for their individual business.

For example, some businesses may need support paying employee wages or rent, while others may need support maintaining their inventory.

This grant was designed to be flexible and to meet the various, unique demands of individual small businesses in different regions across Ontario.

The applicants would need to scroll down to the section “Check Ontario Small Business Support Grant application status” as indicated in the screenshot below. To check your application status, you would need your authorization number and CRA business number.
