General Workplace Guidance Document ReleasedPublished on June 19, 2020
Workers in Ontario should have confidence that the Government is doing everything it can to help employers create safe workplaces. The Province released a first-of-its-kind general workplace guidance document to help all employers protect you from the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.
This new guidance includes help on how to create a safety plan. It includes specific advice on personal protective equipment and the use of face masks. It also includes a list of controls, from most important to least important, that employers can take to minimize the spread of the virus.
The new safety kit will apply to all workplaces in the province. You can find it at Ontario.ca/covidsafety.
The vast majority of Ontario employers have done an amazing job of creating safe workplaces. This is one more tool they can use with confidence to create even safer workplaces – for workers and customers alike.
