Greater Golden Horseshoe Transportation Plan Survey

Published on September 14, 2020

The government is delivering on its promise to build a better transportation system to keep goods and people moving across the province, including the transportation needs of the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The people of the Greater Golden Horseshoe deserve access to a fast, safe and reliable transportation network to get them where they need to go.

The plan will help provide planning direction for highway and transit investments, ensuring that they are coordinated to keep people and businesses in the region moving, including to and from Newmarket-Aurora.

As we seek public feedback to develop the GGH Transportation Plan, the Ontario government is following the best advice from the Chief Medical Officer of Health to stop the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. We are encouraging those interested to have their say by participating in the online consultation and sharing what transportation priorities are most important to you.

We know that this vision for the Greater Golden Horseshoe needs the valuable input of local municipalities and Indigenous communities. We look forward to working collaboratively with all partners on a unified vision for transportation in the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
